Jaguar XFR-S caught winging it on Nurburgring
Lately we’ve seen that Jaguar’s is taking very seriously its effort to reconnect with its racing roots and prove itself again as a leader in high-performance motoring. The beastly XKR-S and the new F-Type are great examples of this so-far-successful effort, but there is a third lurking in the shadows, the XFR-S. The XFR was a powerful and sporty rendition on Jag’s midsize, but it just didn’t quite match up to the teutonic powerhouses that are the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5. Well, the time has come for Jag to step up and we’ve just caught a glance at the car to do so, the XFR-S, on the famous Nurburgring. Aesthetic features that were spotted include a prominent new rear wing, reworked side skirts, a more aggressive front fascia, and a new rear diffuser. This is all great sizzle, but what about the steak? Well, rumor has it that Jag is packing the 550hp supercharged V8 from the XKR-S under the hood; yes please! And while many details are still unknown, we’re sure this Jag will be one exciting saloon.
