After a whole year, the Azzam, better known as the largest yacht in the world, has embarked on its first voyage. The voyage may be quicker than you would think for a mega yacht of this size. With over =94,000hp on tap, this 560ft mega yacht is capable of a top speed of 30 knots in open waters. For it’s initial trip from Gibraltar to Casablanca, the Azzam averaged 12 knots.

Commissioned by the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, the Azzam has been a site to behold ever since it was revealed from its build shed. Build in only three years; the yacht set records for its delivery and size.

Renowned French designer Christophe Leoni who was inspired by “turn of the century Empire style” decorated the interior. Still, he and others contractors remain tight lipped about the interior, only stating that he is “confident that the final yacht is everything and more the owner expects.”
