GT-R to race in 2010 World Challenge GT Championships
All car people know how great Nissan GT-R supercar is. In terms of performance, there are not many cars that can beat a GT-R on the track or the road. If you don’t know what the GT-R does, all it takes is a search on Youtube. Youtube GT-R and numerous videos pop up. Videos show the GT-R passing automotive greats such as the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche GT-R’s and many more in competitive situations. On BBC’s Top Gear, the world most popular automotive TV show; the Stig manages a lap time of 1m19s.7, the same time as a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and faster than the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (1.19.8) and Porsche Carrera GT (1.19.8).
It is no surprise that Brass Monkey Racing of Texas has decided to enter two GT-R’s for the 2010 World Challenge GT Championship. According to Brass Racing, many of the cars in the World Challenge GT championship are heavily modified however the GT-R is already such a racer from the factory that only aerodynamic and weight reduction modifications are necessary to meet the World Challenge GT championship specifications. It is no doubt the GT-R is an amazing car however we just have to wait until March 26 for the Nissan GT-R’s debut in the 2010 World Challenge.
