Bentley to reveal supercar in Paris?
We most often associate Bentley with super-lux sedans and lots of torque, but its rich sporting heritage is often clouded with high curb weights and wood veneers. With that being said, is the Continental GT Speed not sporty enough for you? If so, you may be in luck because there are firm rumors that Bentley will be bringing a supercar concept to the Paris Motor Show next month. But, while a Bentley supercar is fitting for the brand, and something they are undoubtedly capable of building, is it really necessary? After all, between Bugatti and Lamborghini there are plenty of supercar offerings under the VW umbrella. In 1999 Bentley introduced the beautiful Hunaudières with an 8.0 liter W16, a concept that ultimately never made it to production as it was seen. Instead, it was ultimately transformed into the Veyron, at least mechanically. So, whether or not a production Bentley supercar is on the horizon, this new concept will undoubtedly shed light on Bentley’s future design scheme and potential offerings under VW’s other high-end brands such as Bugatti and Lamborghini.
