Jaguar planning upmarket push

Posted September 11, 2012 By Sia & filed under Uncategorized

It seemed just like yesterday that Jaguar was underwhelming the auto community, bogged down by Ford parts and clinging desperately to its namesake.  As the brand marinated in new ownership under Tata and produced an all-new set of cats, consumers and enthusiasts alike saw the brand come back with a new, luxurious and powerful lineup that won the hearts of consumers, editors and even topped reliability tests (something unheard in all of Jag’s history).  Well, now Jaguar is not only breaking down its previous obstacles but it is making leaps and bounds over them.  With good reception of their upscale offerings like the XKR-S and the XJ Ultimate, it looks like we’ll be seeing more exotic offerings coming out of Coventry.  Everything is speculator as of now, but initial offerings are likely to revolve around an M5-fighting XFR-S, an even more ferocious track-ready XKR-S, and the development of their much anticipated C-X75 hybrid supercar.  This is very exciting news for fans & not-so-much fans alike.  Jag truly has their growl back.
