McLaren P12 Hypercar Teased in New Aerodynamics Video
Bring on the supercar news! Bugatti’s monopoly in the hypercar space (with the exception of Pagani, Koenigsegg, etc.) is going to get a bit more crowded in the next year, and exotic auto fans couldn’t be happier. Along with the Ferrari P70 to debut soon, McLaren will be gracing us with a new halo car that they call the spiritual successor to the renowned F1; yes please! This car, dubbed the P12, has recently given some hints, very small hints, at what it may look like in a new video released by McLaren that uses lights and aerodynamic streams to wet our palates until its reveal at the Paris Motor Show later this month. The main renderings that have put out make the car out to be a more dramatic, bold rendition on the MP4-12C’s design scheme, something totally fine by us. Mechanically the car is still generally a mystery, though most believe a more powerful hybrid version of the MP4-12C’s 3.8 liter V8 to be fitted. One thing is (almost) for sure, the P12 will have a carbon fiber monocoque and will utilize lightweight metals like magnesium and titanium. Stay tuned when we cover its debut on September 27th.
*UPDATE: Concept photos have been released prior to the Paris Motor Show debut. See below!
