Bentley to ‘Tweak’ the EXP 9 F Concept SUV By the End of the Year
We first reported on Bentley’s entrance into the ultra-premium SUV market with the EXP 9 F several months ago. Surrounding the debut of the concept was of course skepticism and rebuke by “purists,” similar to the sentiment surrounding Porsche with the release of the Cayenne and Panamera models. This represents criticism of brand fit and entrance into seemingly foreign categories, but the EXP 9 F also turned off many with its fairly outlandish design scheme; a bit gaudy to some, but also handsome to others. Without further analysis on the criticism of its design, Bentley spokesperson, Martin Broomer, noted that the car will be going through some redesigning before its debut at the end of the year. Many aspects of the EXP 9 F, such as its slim tail lights, detailed headlights, and overall stature are in line with the rest of the Bentley line-up, so modifications may not be significant in a blatant way. If nothing else, the news helps continue to confirm the production of a Bentley SUV whether you like it or not.
