Bugatti to show off fastest, most powerful SuperVeyron
We just reporte
d last week on yet another stunning rendition of the revered Veyron, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Rafale. We come to you with yet another rendition on the record-holding hypercar, but this version doesn’t just take the car to new levels aesthetically, it takes it to even higher record-breaking levels of performance. Dubbed the ‘SuperVeyron,’ Bugatti’s latest rendition is likely to be revealed at next year’s Frankfurt Auto Show and will take all of the Veyron’s already-amazing stats and turbocharge them (not literally). This beast is supposed to grow to 9.6 liters, 1,600 horsepower, a 288 mph top speed, and a 1.8 second jaunt to 62 mph. In addition, a target weight of 3,527 lbs (550 lbs less than the current Veyron SuperSport) will raise its power-to-weight ratio to 2.2 lbs per horsepower. A heavier focus on carbon fiber and a wide array of aerodynamic tweaks are sure to be made to accommodate the increased power and speed capabilities. The price tag on this astounding supercar will likely come in around $2.5 million, which at this point doesn’t seem all that outlandish. There may be some new competition on the horizon (think Ferrari F70, McLaren P1), but Bugatti seems to be proactively protecting its title.
