These Poor Aston Martins Were Ruined By Hurricane Sandy
There’s no doubt that the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy is most noticeable among the structural damage and displacement of residents, but there was some devastating automotive damage to boot. Automotive stock and shipments were among the ruin, but a few rare Aston Martins also felt the wrath of Sandy. Autosport Designs’ Aston Martin Vanquish and classic Lagonda were fully submerged in mud and water as a result of the storm, seemingly damaged beyond repair. The Lagonda in particular was known to be one of the best examples in the U.S. What makes these cars basically unsalvageable is the damage to the array of electronics that reside within, particularly in the more modern Vanquish. After seeing these casualties we’d rather not even know what other exotic cars were damaged. Again, while our thoughts and prayers are with the residents affected, let’s take a moment of silence to all of the beautiful cars who didn’t make it through Sandy.
