Ferrari tests more specs on its Enzo successor

Posted December 24, 2012 By Sia & filed under Uncategorized

Oh boy!  Some more bits of info on the much-anticipated successor to the last blatantly super supercar from Ferrari, the Enzo.  Dubbed the F70 (for now), we’re seeing more and more of this prancing horse.  There have been many spy shots and spy video of the heavily disguised car, but since the gimpses we’ve gotten are so slight, it’s hard to tell just how accurate the renderings have been.  Nonetheless, this is going to be a stealthy, sexy hypercar.  Ferrari notes that one of the main goals surrounding the F70 was “a reduction in height and wheelbase to match that of the 458 Italia.”  This will be achieved largely in part due to the hand-laid carbon fiber monocoque chassis.  What is super neat is that the cockpit of the new Ferrari will be personalized to the driver in a way that is rare among road cars, offering personally measured and constructed seats alongside pedals that are at the same level as the driving position.  Expect power from a HY-KERS modified version of the 6.3-litre V12 currently found in the F12 Berlinetta.  We’ll keep you posted on all new updates on this beast!
