Toyota’s Supra successor to arrive with four cylinder power
Details of Toyota's next-gen Supra (or successor) have been wishy-washy, when they've even gone out to hit the press, but the exciting halo sports car from Toyota is suredly on the horizon. Previous word had it that the car would utilize a hybrid V6 platform, but Motor Trend has revealed that it will indeed draw on its roots to include an electric motor mated to a 2.5 liter four-cylinder gas engine. Despite the cylinder reduction, a 400 horsepower goal is still well in sight. In addition, the next Supra will have GT-86 underpinnings, though its size and styling with differ completely from its smaller sporting brethren. Unfortunately, there is probably about 4 more years until we see the Supra successor hit showrooms, but let's hope we get a peek in Tokyo later this year.
