Believe it or not it's already been 7 years since Spyker first presented us with its interpretation of the SUV at Geneva in 2006. Called the 'D8 Paris-to-Peking' concept, the Dutch automaker's original SUV concept was essentially an inflated, raised, 4-door version of its C8. Clearly not too much came of that concept, but now word has it that an SUV from Spyker is only 3 years or so away. This new SUV has yet to be named and will likely not carry as bold of a design as the D8, though one that will undoubtedly mark superior performance and luxury. Whether or not it is based on a current platform is also unknown but making use of potent six- and eight-cylinder engines is a sure thing. Interestingly enough, the crossover will bump Spyker's annual output to around 2,500 units and remove its name from the boutique automaker list. Spyker commercial officer, John Walton, notes, “Our future is well-planned and well-funded.”
