Reveals to be shown at the New York International Auto Show later this month are slowly but surely making themselves known, with a particularly exciting one being the 2014 Jaguar XJR. A few generations of XJ’s ago, in the early millenium, the 390 hp saloon was deemed the fastest full-size four door production car available. But, as competitive luxury brands started to apply fiery motors in their full-size options, and as jaguar struggled to find itself, the XJR lost its way. Now that Jag is well back on track, though, the next XJR is bound to be an exciting luxury rocket. The sedan will very likely use the same 550 hp force-fed V8 from the XFR-S and should launch to 60 in the mid-4 second range. In addition, expect a returned suspension, wider wheels & tires, and bigger brakes. Not many more details are currently available but stay tuned here for coverage of the show next week!
