LaFerrari to spawn a new supercar from Maserati?
Enthusiasts are well aware of Maserati’s motor sharing with Ferrari, and many would be happy to hear that rumors are brewing around Maserati giving us a new supercar in light of the new LaFerrari, and as a successor to the MC12. All of the details are purely speculation but we think that this is a good possibility. Firstly, the car could use a de-tuned version of the LaFerrari’s 6.3-liter V12 or it could opt for a quad-turbo 3.8-liter V8; hybrid functionality may not show up in the Maserati. The quad-turbo option could very well push the new Italian into the 900 horsepower realm, but figures are still a ways off. What we do know is that this car will surely be over $1mm, and likely over $1.3mm.
