Rolls-Royce to unveil Alpine Trial Centenary Collection Ghost at Auto China
Special editions of exotic cars are always a nice treat, and when it comes to dressing up a car that we have in the fleet we’re especially curious. In this case the car of interest is the beautiful Rolls-Royce Ghost. In light of its finishing the grueling 1,820 mile Austrian Alpine Trials back in 1913 (this was an amazing feat!), Rolls-Royce will be coming out with a special edition Ghost to commemorate the important instance in RR’s history. In order to pay tribute to the four Silver Ghosts that drove in the 1913 event, the special Ghost is finished in a unique blue exterior color and black-painted wheels and grille. Interestingly enough, Rolls-Royce notes that the Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary Collection is the first modern Rolls-Royce to have a painted grille. Inside features special badging and graphics alongside the usual stunningly luxurious accommodations. Additionally, Rolls-Royce will embark on a two-week journey that will follow the path of the 1913 Alpine Trial through Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Croatia. A 2013 Alpine Trial Centenary Collection Ghost and Radley 1913 Silver Ghost will participate in the rally.
