Jaguar sure does know hot to make a sultry coupe! While the F-Type convertible has graced the automotive scene in many media forms, the coupe has still been M.I.A. other than the unveiling of the C-X16 concept in Frankfurt in 2011. Interestingly enough, the computer generated images of the F-Type coupe seemingly match identically to the C-X16. This is neither bad, good, or in between, but what it does highlight about Jag is its bold design choices, and we love it. The fastback rear is reminiscent of the classic XKE coupe, but the mills under-hood are nothing but modern. The aluminum-bodied coupe will offer up the same 6- & 8-cylinder motors as in the convertible, but the coupe will introduce Jag’s new four-banger, an engine scrapped from the Range Rover evoque and that is good for 240 horses. This 4-cylinder option will surely help to bring down the F-Type’s base price and make it a bit more widely approachable. You’re likely to see the F-Type coupe revealed at a major auto show next year as a 2015 model. Stay tuned!
