AMG-powered Aston Martins still 3-4 years out
Some time ago we reported confirmation that Aston Martin and AMG would be collaborating very soon on future vehicles – an exciting proposition that we now know as 3 to 4 years away. For what seems like a fairly large undertaking (physically and mentally in a co-branding sense) this timeline sounds understandable. Sure, we think this sounds about right, but so does Mercedes-Benz CEO, Dr. Dieter Zetsche. Dr. Zetsche noted to Auto Express, “Aston’s new investor was convinced that it would be helpful to associate with someone with experience in fast car technology…When you make decisions like this it usually takes three to four years to see the results.” Word has it that the engines will likely be turbocharged V8's that would debut in debut in next-gen DB9 & Vantage models. Club Sportiva has long offered Aston Martins and AMG-powered vehicles so we're excited for this technical partnership. But hey, 3-4 years is far off so hop into our Aston Martin V8 Vantage rental in the meantime!
