Nissan’s new GT-R boss says next car will go for more volume
After reading this title you might be confused, distraught, or downright angry but don’t worry, an econo-GTR is nowhere near. Rather, the next Nissan GT-R will maintain its high performance and quality, but we’ll just be seeing more of them, and more will likely be purchased. Currently there are only four engineers that are qualified to hand-build the twin-turbo V6 rocket that calls the GT-R home, which has understandably limited the production of this AWD rocket that Club Sportiva has two of. But, newly appointed GT-R chief engineer Kinishi Tanuma has said that Nissan needs the GT-R to be more a volume car and is currently training a fifth engineer to add to the roster of engine builders.
