Only a matter of months ago Club Sportiva's paddock was graced with the likes of a ferocious, 495-hp black on black Jaguar F-Type V8s , and boy what a fast few months it's been. Striking design, a crackling growl, and genuine sports car heritage only begin to describe this ridiculously fun convertible, but what happens when the sunny skies make way to the fierce attitude of the F-Type V8s? Here in sunny California we don't have to worry about this proposition as often as our East Coast brethren, but Jag will soon be blessing us with a Coupe version of the F-Type and has spared no teasing. The aerial teaser image released ahead of the cars debut here in Los Angeles later this month shows common cues with the C-X16 concept like a swooping, fastback-like rear end that is reminiscent of the iconic E-Type of the 1960s and 1970s and a panoramic roof. The same V6 and V8 mills found in the convertible will also be available in the coupe, but we're also expecting to see a 240-hp 4-cylinder motor (from the Range Rover Evoque) debut as an option with the coupe. A less sporting motor might find its way as an option into the Jaguar F-Type, but we're also expecting R & R-S variants of the coupe in the near future! Do yourself a favor and hop in the driver's seat of our Jaguar F-Type V8s rental as soon as you can. Heck, reserve it for the L.A. Auto Show starting November 22nd through December 1st!
