2014 Bentley Flying Spur – Redefining Super Luxury On A Shrinking Planet
We are confident readers and Club Sportiva members alike are just as eager to get a taste of one of the top luxury offerings to date – the redesigned 2014 Bentley Flying Spur. Now that we're left only with our Bentley Continental GTC rental (not a bad item to have on your hands) and retired our Bentley Continental Flying Spur, we deem it necessary to acknowledge the newest British luxury behemoth in hopes to nab one for ourselves. Bentley dropped the “Continental” moniker from the auto’s name to further distance it from its sleeker two-door sister, resurfacing the car from end to end to give it an imposing, yet classy design. The British luxury marque dropped a 6.0L W12, 616HP power plant similar to that in our Bentley Continental GTC rental, rocketing the sedan to 0-60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds. The interior is as quiet as a vault lavish as ever, charming both heads of business and tech junkies alike. We argue this may be Bentley’s best $200K offering in years.
