Zagato Ignites our Fire with Unique Lamborghini
The 5-95 Zagato is a special commissioned vehicle based on the iconic Lamborghini Gallardo. This eye-catching design harkens the Italian coachbuilder’s 95th anniversary. In the past Zagato has worked wonders on everything from Aston Martins to Ferraris, Maseratis, and of course, Lamborghinis, leading to some of the most sought after and collectable vehicles in each company’s history in the process. The most captivating thing about this phenomenon is that most of the changes are only skin-deep. At least, that’s the case with the 5-95 Zagato.
Unwrap the the bespoke body and underneath you’ll find a resurrected Lamborghini Gallardo, which became defuncted as of 2013. Even though it isn’t a “new” supercar by enthusiast standards, it’s still nothing to scoff at. The 5-95 will hit 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and reach top speeds of 200 mph. The exterior of the vehicle is none other than unique, and orange, as Zagato seems to enjoy presented commissioned vehicles in bright colors. The design harkens back to Zagato designs of the past with its angular lines complemented by a double-bubble roof and a wraparound windshield. If you don’t like how it looks, it doesn’t matter—the car was commissioned by Swiss supercar collector, Albert Spiess. Spiess already owns a number of Zagato coachbuilds—a 1985 Aston Martin V8 Zagato, a 2012 Aston Martin V12 Zagato, and a 1990 Alfa Romeo S.Z. If Mr. Spiess desires such exclusive supercars, he should try a Club Sportiva car tour experience. We doubt he has gotten the opportunity to tour with a Mercedes-Benz SLS-AMG, two Ferrari F430s, and a Nissan GT-R, or any of our other exotic car rentals for that matter. Or has he?
