Bentley Mulsanne convertible expected to be greenlit this year
It was less than a month ago that the Club Sportiva team and some of its valued members raced over to Monterey for all of the exciting motoring festivities, including the Pebble Beach Concours. It was at Pebble Beach that word broke of a new, big Bentley convertible…well, that word has already been confirmed with an unexpected number of details, some speculatory but with understandability. To begin, how can you not be excited about a new ultra-luxurious convertible from Bentley? The sheer decadence, glam and quality of Bentley droptops have been the most marked representations of wealth by an automobile in recent history as well as across the last century. Sure, there are many other fine automobiles that are worthy of this accolade, but its the ways in which the connoly hides and fine wood veneers of a Bentley bathe in the exposed sunlight that set it apart. Let’s get objective and look at some of the facts so far. The big-bodied droptop is to be about 6 inches shorter than the Mulsanne sedan with the 6.75 liter V8 and a very good likelihood of a V12 option. After all, when pricing is around the $500k mark, we sure hope an equally large motor is available under the hood.
