Go-Kart Track on a Cruise Ship

Posted March 30, 2016 By admin & filed under Yachting

The Norwegian Joy is the newest ship from Norwegian Cruise Lines. Built in Germany for the Chinese market, the Joy is the first ship ever to host a racetrack on board. The Go-Kart track runs through two levels of the ship and can be seen in this video:

The Streets of Monaco superyacht was supposed to be the first yacht with a go-kart track (a replica of Circuit de Monaco) but it still remains a concept more than two years after its announcement.

Joy is set to depart from Shanghai next summer and offer plenty of other non-racing amenities. With a $920 million dollar build cost, it should provide the ultimate cruise experience in China.
