Bentley Bentayga – an exclusive 600 horsepower SUV
3 years ago Bentley introduced the EXP 9 F Concept. An SUV that redefined what a luxury SUV could be. Today, Bentley has announced the production version of the EXP 9, the Bentayga. A 600 horsepower, twin turbo W12 powered, 7200 pound SUV, that they actually want you to take off road!
The twin turbo W12 is a 6.0 liter engine putting out 600 horsepower and 665 lb/ft of torque. That’ll get the Bentayga to 60mph in 4 seconds flat. That power is delivered through an 8 speed automatic that drives all 4 wheels. The speed tops out at 187 miles per hour. Surprisingly the combined fuel economy is 22.1mpg.
Inside, the interior is beautiful. Customers have many choices to make when designing their Bentayga thanks to things like that 15 different types of carpets available and 4 or 5 seat configurations. A full length panoramic sunroof is available along with a 1,950 watt 18 speaker system from Naim.
The body is based off of the Audi Q7 and uses an aluminum body structure. The new electronic active roll control system keeps the Bentayga from tipping over even when pushing hard through corners on the Nurburgring.
The world’s “fastest, most luxurious, most exclusive SUV” will start delivery early 2016.
