Pininfarina Sergio Concept In The Pipeline For $2 Million Each

Posted June 13, 2013 By Sia & filed under Autos

When word spreads that Pininfarina is thinking of building a custom supercar, your ears perk up…to say the least.  Well, the rumors that the Italian brand was going to put its Sergio concept into production didn’t have much time to circulate, because it only took about 4 months for the production to become official.  Car and Driver has noted of the seriousness with which Pininfarina has spoken of producing the sexy concept, but likely only with a production run of a handful, about 5.  Your mind can go a variety of places when you hear this, but one is definitely the price that it will take to snag one of these.  The original figures came in at nearly $4mm, but now word has it that the exotic will garner a price tag of only about $2mm.  Production would be at the company Turin facilities and the Sergio would be equipped with a 4.5-liter V-8 engine that produces 562 horsepower and is good for 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph.  Stay tuned!
