Corvette-Powered Sin R1 Supercar Makes Dynamic Debut at Goodwood
Another Corvette-powered sports car? “Woopty-doo,” right? Well, sort of. While the Sin R1 sports car supercar is, in fact, powered by an LS-V8 from the outgoing Vette, this is one serious road master that rivals the most powerful and expensive cars available today. A 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed breaking 200 mph mean that the R1 is a parts-bin-mobile that demands some legitimate attention, which is garnered during its dynamic debut at Goodwood last weekend. Other elements of the car include a 6-speed manual transmission from the Porsche 911 GT2, 19-inch alloy wheels from Braid, AP Racing brakes, and racing bucket seats from OMP. It’s performance merits are largely derived from its slim curb weight of just 2,645 pounds. But, be careful, because with 60% of the weight in the rear (where power is sent), the R1 is not meant for an amateur.
