$3.4 Million W Motors Lykan Hypersport Gets Suicide Doors
Is it possible to claim supremacy in the Exotic Car realm by price alone? We’d bet the vast majority of you would say no, and we would agree. But, back up a category-topping price tag with a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds, 245 mph, and precious jewels utilized in the very construction of the car, and perhaps you have a deal (for lack of a better word). We’re talking about the staggering $3.4 million Lykan Hypersport by start-up supercar producer, W Motors of Beirut, Lebanon. The Lykan Super/Hypersport was introduced back in January in Qatar, but details and coverage are fairly minimal (though anticipated), so revisiting its basics are often welcome. With that being said, we’re not all that surprised that the first venerable auto company out of the Middle East, W Motors, is in the business of Exotic Cars. Their debut model, the Lykan, comes in ‘Hypersport’ (pictured) and a bit tamer ‘Supersport’ renditions. The Hypersport packs a turbocharged flat-6 developed by RUF that produced 745 horsies and is good for the outstanding track figures listed in the intro above. Only 7 examples will be produced, and done so with plenty of precious finery built right into the car. All 7 of those examples are claimed so we’re sure W Motors will be gracing us with more vehicles in the future. Expect the debut of the production version at the Dubai Motor Show in November.
