Next-Gen Mustang will Start as a Limited-Run 2014 1/2 Model
Is there truly legitimate reasoning to introducing a half-year car? Perhaps timely introduction of key technology and the like might make a debut particularly time-sensitive, but the occurrence is quite rare. When you look at cars who have a history of this, perhaps there is no better example than the Ford Mustang, and 2014 is no exception. Report has it that the next Mustang will not first debut as a 2015 model, but rather a 2014 1/2. But why? Well, a 2014 1/2 model would properly mark the ‘Stang’s 50th birthday, and we must say, that’s reason enough for us. Ultimately, though, the next-gen Mustang will largely be a 2015 model year car seeing as how the 2014 1/2 will be a special edition car with a limited run of about 1,000. The association alone will make the car an instant collector’s item and thus will likely carry an inflated price tag. What it does mean is that we may be getting an official peek at the next Mustang sooner than anticipated. In the meantime, give yourself up to the 550 horses in our Mustang Shelby GT500, a truly special experience.
