Laraki Motors Epitome Concept shows up at Pebble Beach: $2M and 1,750 hp
Well, we didn’t see this one coming! Last weekend at Pebble Beach Laraki Motors (started by yacht designer Abdesslam Laraki) showed up with the Epitome Concept, a bold and futuristic supercar. The car sports a highly exotic and sci-fi-esque design, but that’s surely not the only thing that raised eyebrows. Immediately once you get under the paint you’ll find nothing but sculpted carbon fiber, a factor that contributes to the car’s mere 2,800 lb. curb weight. But, in the case of the Epitome Concept, the feat is where the heart is. Built on the chassis of a C6 Corvette, the supercar sports a modified 7.0-liter Chevy V8 with two identical turbochargers that crank out about 1,200 horsepower on pump fuel. Throw in 110 octane and the car will reportedly output a blistering 1,750 horsepower (holy s***). What is really neat, though, is that the Epitome Concept is to have two gas tanks so that the switch to lightning fast is as easy as pressing a button. Only about 9 people will be enjoying this $2-million dollar boutique supercar, but Laraki Motors has already been building out a wider product plan.
