Koenigsegg planning hypercar with one horsepower per pound
When we think Koenigsegg we think brash engine screams, flames our of the rear, and sailing past 200 mph…quickly. With that being said, it is not a huge surprise that we’ll be getting a car with a “One:1” ratio, meaning 1 horsepower for every 1 pound; Holy s***. This feat has been achieved before, but only with dry weight, which means the car is without any fuel, oil, etc. Koenigsegg mastermind Christian von Koenigsegg told Bloomberg that the car will be 1,400-horsepower and weigh 1,400 pounds, taking into account fluids and even the driver. This is absolutely insane and we love every bit of it. As of now 6 examples will be built and all of which are accounted for, though a short waiting list has already been selected in case any of those confirmed back out on their investment that is bound to be extremely pricey. The car was born out of the demand from a dealer in China, so we’re at least one will feed the exotic car appetite of the Chinese crowd. More info to come!
