The Laferrari is an outrageous car (if you can call it that). With futuristic lines and a hybrid system that puts out 950 horsepower, you’d think that’d be enough for any driver, but Ferrari has stepped it up yet another level with their track based FXX K. The FXX K weighs 200 pounds less than the street legal LaFerrari, has 1050 brake horsepower and comes with a massive $3,838,050 price tag. That’s over two and a half times the base price of a “regular” LaFerrari. During an announcement by Ferrari in Abu Dhabi last December, it was confirmed that all 40 models that would be produced have already been ordered and will be shipped across the world to be raced starting this year.
In 2014 the Scuderia Ferrari team picked up Sebastian Vettel from the Red Bull Racing team, signing him until the end of 2017. Having won four Formula One World Championships, Vettel really knows how to drive which can be both seen and heard in the video of him pushing the FXX K on the Fiorano Ferrari Factory track in Italy. The LaFerrari makes it around the track in 1 minute and 19 seconds while the FXX K can do the same in just 1 minute and 14 seconds. In all honesty, Ferrari could have just published sound clips from Vettel’s day around the track with the FXX K as the exhaust note is just music to any car enthusiasts ears, but the added video footage, especially the flame spitting at 1:16 is wonderful.
