HMS H63 RS700 (should be called the RS750 now)
HMS Tuning was put up to the task of creating a mind blowingly fast station wagon for a family man in Germany. The car they started with was a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG wagon. The goal was to end up with a high horsepower car that looked the part; Aggressive and modern. To start they upgraded the bumper and front fenders by taking the parts off of a C63 AMG Black Series Coupe. The rear fenders were matched up by grabbing parts off of an E63 AMG sedan. Those parts were all fabricated out of Carbon Fiber. KW Clubsport coilers help bring the whole car down onto the 19 inch wheels.
The stock V8 engine was pushing just over 450 horsepower, which is great for a naturally aspirated engine but HMS took up up a step. The team at HMS added a supercharger which boosted the power output to at least 750 (it hasn’t been dyno’d with its new tune yet). The cams and forged pistons were pulled off of an SLS AMG. The headers are custom from HMS. Behind the grille you’ll see two new radiators which cool down the oils and power steering. The transmission was rebuilt to handle the extra power and torque. Brakes were upgraded to 6 piston 402mm carbon ceramics from an Audi RS6. Off course a fully custom exhaust was built for the H63 which may just blow out your ear drums.
Thankfully the interior got premium treatment as well. Everything that could be replaced, has been replaced. You won’t find a single piece of chrome trim or even the stock shifter. Alcantara and contrast stitching make up most of the interior. Possibly the coolest bits on the interior are the Recaro Sportster CS bucket seats which have built in side airbags. Those are also Alcantara to match the rest of the car. All in all this H63 is no ordinary AMG car and it seems like the dream family car.
