Chris Harris is the ultimate car reviewer who hasn’t been suspended by any network lately **(cough cough Jeremy)**.
In this 13 minute video,Chris takes the all new Porsche Cayman GT4 for a beating around the track. More specifically Portimao Circuit in Portugal. The Cayman GT4 is a Cayman GTS with the engine of a 911 S and suspension setup from the Porsche GT3. Chris’ favorite part seems to be the magical third pedal! That’s right, the Cayman GT4 has a manual gearbox with 6 speeds with tall gearing. Reaching 80 miles per hour in second gear is no problem at all, considering it revs up to 7500 rpm.
With the mid-engine setup, kicking out the rear and controlling it via the throttle seems easy. With the Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT4 can both slide around or grip through high speed cornering depending on your driving style. On the straight aways the Cayman GT4 can get to 183 miles per hour (which is just 12 miles per hour slower than the GT3).
Chris Harris says that the Cayman GT4 is a perfect jump up from the Cayman GTS but not enough to get it to stop you from going all the way up to a GT3. For under $100,000 this may be the best high end track car that money can buy.
