When Tanner Foust teams up with RWB and Volkswagen, something extraordinary is bound to happen. VW Beetle owners have been swapping parts with Porsches for generations now trying to add some nicer aesthetics to their rides. Now Tanner Foust has partnered up with RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (a.k.a RWB), a Porsche tuner and stylist in Japan to create the world’s first RWB Beetle. The official name of this creating is the Tanner Foust Edition RWB Beetle Turbo R.

It was built for the 2014 SEMA show, led by Nai-san with bodywork created at LTMW in SoCal. The body kit added 8 inches total in width to the Beetle and was painted in Porsche GT3 Orange with the body to give the whole project a factory made look. On the side of the car you’ll find side skirts, a front lip and canards from RWB as well. KW created a one off set of V3 coilovers, which were originally created for the mark 6 Golf GTI to lower the car on to five spoke Tracklite wheels made by Motegi Racing. The fronts are 18 by 10 and the rears 18 by 13 wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros (295 in the rear, 275 front).

Inside and under the hood almost everything has been left stock. That means, no matter how fast it looks, the 2.0 liter inline 4 will only put out 210 horsepower. That gets the bug to 60 miles per hour in just over 6 seconds. The only difference between this and a regular Beetle interior are the Recaro Sportster bucket seats. RWB will probably stick with Porsches and hopefully if they do another VW, they’ll add some engine upgrades too.
