1974 A’s World Series Ring for Sale

In 1972, 73′, and 74′ The Oakland As won the World Series. Gene Tenace who played catcher and first baseman is now listing two pieces of memorabilia up for sale. First up is his trophy from the 1972 season when he played as a backup catcher. Don’t worry, he ended up getting MVP that World Series. The trophy is 25 inches tall and estimated to be worth $25,000. More highly valued than the trophy is his 14-karat gold championship ring. It has two engravings on it, one says “72/73/74” to commemorate the three years in a row of winning. The other stands for Sweat plus Sacrifice equals Success and it simply says “S + S = S”. The ring is estimated at $40,000 and will be on auction until the 25th of April through scpauctions.com
