The newest Mustang, the GT350R comes out this summer and it sounds like a shooting range on a Friday. That’s just in the regular driving mode. Put it into “Track” mode and the sound goes insane! That difference is clear in this video taken at the Ford Nationals. The biggest difference between the two modes is the valves opening up beneath the car.
The GT350R is a true race car. No rear seats. No AC. And a whole lot of power. 526 horses to be exact, with a redline of 8,250! All that power comes from a flat-crank 5.2 liter V8 pushing out 429 lb/ft of torque. That power is handled through a 6-speed manual transmission and stopped by Brembo brakes on all 4 corners.
