Today Volvo announced their newest concept, a child seat system created for the XC90 SUV that allows easy access and view of the child by both the driver and a passenger in the rear right seat. The idea is to have a rear facing child seat in the position of the front passenger seat that can swivel for easy entry into the car. The system also includes a heated bottle holder for milk and a drawer underneath the seat with room for toys, baby wipes, pacifiers and more.
Volvo hasn’t said anything about this going into production but the concept looks pretty good, the only concern is safety in the front of a car. We’re sure Volvo will do extensive crash testing before deciding on whether or not to produce the system.
