0-200 MPH in a Corvette

Posted March 30, 2016 By admin & filed under Autos

What’s it take to get a Corvette to 200 miles per hour in just over 4 seconds? 4,000 horsepower is what. Check out this monster running a 4.063 in the eighth mile at NorthStar Dragway in Denton, Texas.

This Corvette owned by Andrew Alepa doesn’t have much of the stock C7 left in it. The 548 cubic-inch engine is a Hemi with twin 102mm turbos to boost the power to insane levels. That power travels through a 3-speed transmission built by Mark Micke of M&M transmissions to the 315mm Mickey Thompson drag radial tires.

Rob Valden was the driver behind the wheel, we’re curious to see how this Vette would do in the quarter mile, 6 seconds or less?
