We’ve finally taken delivery of our new 2016 Miata ND on Monday. While we could have gotten our hands on a grand touring or sport edition a little earlier, we held out to get our hands on a one with the limited-slip differential and Bilstein shock options that come with the “Club” edition. After a quick trip through what we call our “test track,” we can say it was definitely worth the wait. Furthermore, the Club edition’s visual enhancements of the front lip and rear spoiler give the ND a nice finishing touch.
The interior feels great and modern. Thankfully, that center display isn’t distracting while driving. We haven’t tested it in the Summer, but the glare doesn’t seem bad at all.
155 horsepower makes the ND feel really zippy. Not the most power out of a 2.0 liter but it’s definitely enough. We can’t really ask for much more.
The trunk fits a couple small carry-ons and a duffel bag. More than enough space for a weekend getaway, but don’t expect to go on a cross-country road trip with it.
